We Are The Joke

Between the punchline and the laughter is a space where there is.  
Nothing left to wait for
nothing to look forward to.  
No need for a comedian.  
No need for a joke.  
No need for a punchline.

From this needless space an eruption of life cannot be stopped.
 

So don't be mad my friend if I laugh at your pain
Because to my surprise it works just as well in reverse.  
If from nowhere I notice this needless space 

I find a joke has always just been told.

Even if we think it hurts.
